Graham Roberts Autos to Close on Friday 23rd August
After 42 years of trading, the owners of GR Autos located off Station Road in South Molton have announced they are to retire with the business closing for good on Friday 23rd August.
Graham Roberts Autos was started in 1982 by Graham & Angela Roberts as a bodywork specialist. Their first premises was little more than a shed in North Street, South Molton where the old fire station was located. From there they took on a building in Moors Yard and then, six years after they launched the company, they purchased their current site off Station Road where the business has traded from for the best part of four decades.
Over the years GR Autos has offered a full garage service including maintenance and a body shop as well as MOT’s. However, they are probably best known for the sale of quality used cars which at one point saw them expand their sales forecourt to a second location, the former site of the Cornwall Farmers premises as you turn into Pathfields. In 2010 they became an agent for the Malaysian brand Perodua selling their range of new cars. The company also provided competitive car and van hire.
