BANK HOLIDAY BIN COLLECTION REMINDER
As the August Bank Holiday approaches, North Devon Council would like to remind residents of the changes to the waste and recycling collection timetable.
There will be no waste or recycling collections on Monday, 26 August. During that week, collections will take place one day later than the usual schedule, beginning on Tuesday, 27 August, and continuing through to Saturday, 31 August. The regular collection schedule will resume on Monday, 2 September.
Councillor Julie Hunt, Lead Member for Waste and Recycling, said: “After every bank holiday, collections run a day late. We appreciate residents’ patience and cooperation during this period. If anyone is uncertain about their collection day, they can easily find this information on the council’s website.”
Residents are reminded to ensure that their bins and recycling are placed out by 6am on the morning of their collection or the night before.
For details on what items should be placed in which container, please refer to the guidelines available online.
